EUFA Champions League Final

Rome was probably a dream place for me a couple of days ago until I heard an American being stabbed right around the Olympic stadium. But violence aside, it was truly a majestic night in Rome that featured two teams that has contrasting style of play but are both considered the best around the world. Barcelona, the eventual champions, played a masterful game which consisted of efficient passing and superb ball handling skills notably by Iniesta and Messi. This overshadowed their lack of power in their defense and it certainly proved to be too much for the scrambling defense and midfield unit of the Reds. It was dissapointing to see my team lose to Barcelona in a 2-0 game that exposed the lackluster performance of Manchester United notably by their key players Ronaldo and Rooney. The defense was also terrible and the midfield players didn't looked to be top class players in Europe. The game actually made me a Barcelona fan simply because of the Barca game which is masterful in itself. I give a lot of credit to their first year coach Pep, who is also the first coach in Spanish Football to win the treble. They deserve a lot of credit both for their win and for their ability to play entertaining football. Messi solidified himself as the world's best player by dethroning Manchester United in European club football and will definitely dethrone Ronaldo of his crown as the best footballer in the world. The night finished with celebrations by both the team and the fans and by all having one thing in mind, that Barcelona is not only Europe's but the world's greatest football club.
