Earlier I watched the elimination round for the three remaining contestants in American Idol. Gokey was eliminated, while Adam Lambert and Kris Allen moved on and will battle for the so called prestigious crown of being the American Idol. Personally, I was glad to see the two move on to the finale because it added more thrill to the contest instead of having the predictable Gokey vs. Lambert finale. Gokey was good, Lambert also, but Allen did the most unexpected which is to turn a Kanye West song into an acoustic rendition which sounded "better than the original". I think that risks such as that of Allen should be looked into by America instead only of the charisma and the incredible vocal range which one possesses. Allen I think showed us indeed his incredible renditions of song and it pretty much made me more excited to hear what he will do next rather than what Lambert will do. But in the finale, I feel that Lambert will definitely win the coveted price because of his immense popularity and his unbelievable vocal range but I hope Allen will again provide an upset because he has consistently taken risks all of which that has payed of and although Lambert himself has taken much risks through out the competition, I think that his versions sound identical and most of his renditions are a one time big time thing. It is surprising and extremely masterful when you hear it the first time but when played over and over again, it might not have the same effect. While Allen's versions sounds completely different from each other and each one has the potential to be played over and over again in the radio. But no matter what happens, I don't think that neither of them will particularly feel bad if they do not win because previous seasons have showed that many of whom whose name was not called in the grand finale got to be more successful than those who have won it all.
No matter what the result is, this is My American idol...
