The emergence of Superman

Today the series shifted to Orlando and all eyes were on King James' fight for survival rather than the return of golf great Tiger woods on courtside or Dwight Howard's shiny teeth. Indeed, we were all witnesses, but this time, for all the different reasons. We were witnesses of King James playing his worst game in this postseason. We were witnesses of Superman's 40 point torching of the Cavs. We were witnesses of the Kobe-Lebron duel banished. We were witnesses of the extremely frustrated Cavs which had done nothing right to save their best season so far in NBA history. Sure, Lebron has left his mark on this playoff, a wonderful display of both individual play, team play, and of course his trademark buzzer beater in game 2. However, Howard, who has battled through foul trouble, suspension, technical fouls, and harsh criticism from the NBA community for calling out his coach in a loss has emerged to be victorious in the end. Superman has overcomed all odds and carried his team in the finals without his injured partner Nelson. Superman sure had a lot of villains and tests in stored for him, but none was his Kryptonite. Not even James. Yet, Howard should be alarmed because all supermans eventually meet their Kryptonites. Perhaps this might be Kobe, or possibly Gasol or Bynum. But if he continue his super strong play and do what Shaq could not do 14 years ago with this franchise, it is safe to say that Howard has already met his Kryptonite on Nate Robinson. But not that it matters anymore...
